Derby Day

We had a great day at the races yesterday, the weather held off and we enjoyed the sunshine in the grandstand. Had a few wins with the syndicate so we came out in the black.

City2Sea fun run

Kathryn and Paola have decided to run the City2Sea fun run on November 13th which raises funds for men's health in conjunction with movember.
If you are interested in joining them in our maxxfit team please let us know so we can organise the event.

Kathryn will be training for this event unlike the run for kids where she just rocked up on the day and suffered for a week afterwards..... And blamed Paola for making her run.

Workout and measurement update

Since I have been back training I have lost 2kg's.
Today I weighed 78.7kgs and my body fat is 18.7%. My goal is to maintain 78kg and drop to 12%BF and have a VO2 max of 60+ (VO2 max = fitness level), currently I am sitting at 53 VO2. I have given myself until December 17th to accomplish these goals.

Holidays and weight gain

Back in the old days when I took a holiday with lots of eating and drinking I never gained any weight. Those days are over. When I arrived back from NZ and jumped on the scales to my surprise I weighed 2 kilos more than before I left. Now that I am back into the swing of things it is time to go hard 6 days a week.
Mon, Wed, Fri: Weights
Tues, Thur, Sat: Running or some kind of cardio.
No drinking alcohol from Sun-Thur and a strict healthy fresh diet.
It has been a week since I started and I have lost 1.5 kilos.
Will be posting the workout sessions and nutrition in the days and weeks to come.
Moral of the story; play hard and enjoy yourself but expect to work hard to get back to where you want to be.

MELBOURNE MAXX PERFORMANCE, 8 WEEK CHALLENGE & XMAS PARTY

Don't forget about the Maxx Performance Session this Saturday October 22. We will meet at the Tan just up from the Swan St bridge at 6:30am.

The maxxfit 8 Week Challenge will begin on October 24th and run to December 17th.

We will train 3x per week on Monday & Wednesday @ 6:00pm and Saturday @ 6:30am. The cost will be $250 up front which entitles you to the 3 sessions a week for the 8 weeks.

Testing will be done before, during and after the challenge to make you accountable.

This 8 Week Challenge is not only going to help improve your overall strength and fitness we are also going to focus on nutrition principles and exercise techniques. We aim to help educate all the participants about wellbeing, health and fitness.

You will be challenged in the sessions, however we want to work with you to achieve your goals not scream, rant or break you down like a solider.

The silly season is fast approaching and we have scheduled our maxxfit xmas party for Saturday December 3rd. The event will be held at Wine@129 which is located at 129 Auburn Rd Hawthorn East. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP as we need to supply numbers for the catering.

 I've caught the ferry to Picton
I've been to Christchurch.

Back to normal at maxxfit

Well I survived NZ and my liver is still functioning. Had a great time and feel energised to get back into the swing of things.
We have a few interesting new concepts happening starting this month, beginning with an 8 week challenge. This challenge will begin on October 24th, running through to December 17th.
